Vertex Ventures China, founded in 2008, has offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. It is currently managing both Dollar and RMB funds, with assets under management of over ¥10 billion.

Horizon Robotics is one of the world’s most valuable, unicorn AI startups. Vertex Ventures China led investment in its Series A round in 2016. It also secured follow-on funding from SK group, Inter and the CITIC securities.

Unitree is an energetic startup that focuses on high-performance quadruped robots. Vertex Ventures China invested in its Series Pre-A funding.

SES designs and produces Li-Metal battery materials, cells, modules, recycling processes, and AI algorithms that optimize battery safety and charging. Vertex Ventures China led its angel round in 2013. It secured follow-on funding from GM, SAIC Motor, Temasek and SK Group.

Geek+ is a leading robotics and AI technologies provider and China’s supplier of warehousing and logistics solutions. Vertex Ventures China led Series A+ funding round in 2017. The Series B round was completed in late 2018, led by Warburg Pincus.

Yunyinggu is a display tech startup that provides color rendering solutions to enhance display resolution and color. Vertex Ventures China led the investment in its Series A round. It also secured follow-on funding from Qualcomm and BOE.

Semidrive is a high-tech enterprise focusing on high-reliability and high-performance automotive SoC. Vertex Ventures China, as the earliest investor, invested in its Series Pre-A and Series A financing.

iOranges is a national-level high-tech enterprise specializing in 3C automatic assembly process and technology research and application. Vertex Ventures China, as the earliest investor, led the Series Pre-A round funding in 2017. iOrange also secured follow-on funding from GGV and MatrixPartners China.

Chipscreen is a leading enterprise of small molecule innovative medicines in China. Vertex Ventures was the first institutional investor to back Chipscreen when it was founded in 2001. Chipscreen announced its IPO on STAR Market of SSE in 2019.

Harbour BioMed [02142.HK] is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing innovative therapeutics in the fields of immuno-oncology. Vertex Ventures China invested in its Series B round in 2018. It completed its global IPO on HKEX in 2020.

Infinovo is an innovative medical tech startup, focusing on developing an accurate and affordable CGM for patients which will be available for both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetics. Vertex Ventures China led its Series B round in 2020.

Phoenix Healthcare Group [1515.HK] has been China’s largest private hospital group. It became the first mainland hospital firm listed on HKSE in 2013. Vertex Ventures China made strategic investment in it in 2010.

91 Wireless has been one of the largest Android app stores in China. It was acquired in 2014 by Baidu [BIDU] for $1.9B. Vertex Ventures China achieved over $100M returns after the investment in 2012.

NEIWAI is a famous online women’s underwear and lingerie brand. Vertex Ventures China led investment in its Series B round.

Mobike is a bike sharing service to fulfil urban short trips by combining innovation and today’s IoT technology. Vertex Ventures China led investment in its Series B+ round in 2016. Mobike has been fully acquired by Meituan [3960.HK] in 2018.

IGG [0799.HK] is a renowned video game developer and publisher dedicated to bringing amazing games to gamers all over the world. Vertex Ventures China invested in its B round funding. In 2013, IGG was listed on HKSE.

Marrymemo, a wedding planner application, helps soon-to-wed couples in China with the planning and sharing of their dream wedding. Vertex Ventures China led investment in its Series A round.
