Our Story
Vertex Ventures is a venture capital firm backed by Temasek Holdings of Singapore. Headquartered in Singapore, it has independently operated fund teams in venture-active regions including China, the United States, Japan, Israel, Southeast Asia and India.
Vertex China, launched its early-stage venture capital business in China in 2009. It currently has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Singapore, managing several US dollar and RMB funds with a combined AUM of approximately RMB 20 billion. Members of its founding team have worked together for over 15 years.
Vertex China is committed to investing in high-growth innovative enterprises in China, with a core focus on innovative technology and biomedicine, covering robotics, artificial intelligence, semiconductor chips, advanced manufacturing, carbon neutrality, new materials, biomedicine, medical devices, commercial aerospace and other vertical sectors. It has made early-stage investments in a portfolio of outstanding companies, including Unitree Robotics, Horizon Robotics [9660.HK], Geek+ [2590.HK], Edge Medical [02675.HK], SES AI [NYSE: SES], Chipscreen [688321.SH], Smarter Micro [688512.SH], Mobike (acquired by Meituan), Harbour BioMed [02142.HK], AnHeart (acquired by Nuvation Bio), AgileX Robotics, Viewtrix, SemiDrive, Lightelligence, Noetix, Vitai Robotics, among others.
